Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

MS Workliva wants this website to be usable by everyone, including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or reduced-motion settings turned on.

Accessibility is not a one-off exercise. We treat it as part of building and maintaining the site, and we fix problems as we find them or as they are reported to us.

What we have built in

This site was built with the following in place:

• Keyboard access — every link, button, menu and form control can be reached and operated with a keyboard. The Services menu opens with Enter and closes with Escape, returning focus to the button that opened it. It never depends on hovering.
• Visible focus — a clear focus outline follows the keyboard, and it is never removed.
• Skip link — the first thing a keyboard user reaches is a link that jumps straight past the navigation to the main content.
• Colour contrast — every text and background pair on the site is measured against the WCAG 2.1 AA threshold of 4.5:1 for body text. Most pairs exceed it substantially.
• Meaningful structure — each page has one main heading and headings descend in order, so screen-reader users can navigate by structure.
• Labelled forms — every field has a visible label, not just placeholder text. Errors appear next to the field they relate to, are announced to assistive technology, and say how to fix the problem rather than simply that something is wrong.
• Text alternatives — images carry alternative text, decorative icons are hidden from assistive technology, and icon-only controls have accessible names.
• Touch targets — interactive controls meet the minimum target size, with spacing between them.
• Works without JavaScript — if scripts fail to load, every page still displays its content in full.
• Responsive and zoomable — the layout reflows from 375px upwards without horizontal scrolling, and page zoom is never disabled.

Motion

Sections fade in gently as you scroll. If your device or browser is set to reduce motion, we honour that: animations are switched off and all content is shown immediately. There is nothing on this site that moves, flashes or auto-advances on its own.

Conformance and testing

We are working to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we have applied the relevant WCAG 2.2 criteria on target size, focus visibility and form re-entry.

Testing so far has been carried out by the team building the site: automated checks across every page at five screen widths covering contrast, heading order, duplicate identifiers, form labelling, image alternatives, landmark naming and target sizes, plus manual keyboard and reduced-motion testing.

We have not yet commissioned an independent audit or testing with assistive-technology users. Until we have, we describe this as a statement of intent and current practice rather than a certified conformance claim.

Known limitations

We would rather tell you what is not finished than imply everything is:

• Forms on this site validate your entries in the browser and then open your own email client with the details filled in, rather than posting to a server. If your device has no email client configured, write to us directly at info@msworkliva.com.
• Some details, including certain policy pages and the confirmed list of technologies we support, are still being finalised and are marked on the page where they appear.
• The site has not yet been tested with a screen reader by someone who uses one daily.
• Any third-party service we add later, such as an applicant tracking system or a job board, may not meet the same standard. We will say so if that happens.

Compatibility

The site is built with standard HTML, CSS and JavaScript and is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop and mobile, together with the assistive technology those browsers support. Older browsers may render it less faithfully but should still present the content.
